The Forbidden Words in Geneva II

Alaa Aldin alKhatib

Ladies and gentlemen from all countries worldwide,

Hello;

Greetings from the Syrian people to all nations worldwide, gratitude to every person who sympathized or felt sorry for the events in Syria and to every human who has not even heard of Syria. I address these nations, especially Arabs, Turks and Iranians in the region as well as the people of Russia, America, Europe and China and say to them: “the Syrian people wants peace for themselves and you, the Syrian people are well aware of the difference between you and your governments, media, politicians and corporates as compared to you as good people. A Message From Syrian people to all humans

Ladies and gentlemen meeting here today, politicians and media figures, I appreciate your presence and I call upon you to overpower the human in you on the politician or media figure for one hour of time. Truly, my words are out of diplomacy but I am not here to cry, beg or extend gratitude to any government or major media outlet. I am here to express the Syrian people’s final cry in the face of governments and media outlets you work for, and in the face of international corporates which capitals you protect more than the lives and souls of your people.

I did not come here to please the governments of the United States, Russia and China or promote their nobility in obliging regional governments, the Syrian regime and opposition leaders to arrange a ceasefire and stop the killing in Syria. Events over the last few months confirm that governments of the strongest international players do not want to develop a solution in Syria especially since their struggle among each other requires only some money and media games. Who cares if a thousand or a million of Syrians die of pain and agony before explosions? I came here to address and inform your people that all governments attending here are partners in destroying Syria in the largest crime of the 21st century.

150,000 martyrs, millions of refugees and the tears of mothers today refuse to adhere to the ridiculous standards of diplomacy or to equivocate the truth. The Syrian tragedy is the first of its kind in human history in terms of: the number of governments conspiring to keep it ignited as the horrors of the daily pain reached four corners of the earth. It is unprecedented in human history that the world has ever witnessed such crimes against humanity and kept watching. Before, those crimes happened away from media and news. In Syria, however, the world has witnessed everything one moment after the other. Still, governments of the world; you demand Syrian fathers and mothers to believe your false words and diplomatic deceit?

Without going into details, 40 years after one man ruled Syria; the Syrian people has the right to revolt and demand freedom, dignity and democracy. This is what Syrians did in 2011 in the most peaceful, patriotic and tolerant manner. The world immediately split into two main camp. The Western camp allied with Turkey and Arabian Gulf states on one hand and Russia, China, Iran and the Syrian regime on the other (I always mean governments not people). The two camp battled on the expense of the Syrian people. However, they agreed that a free, democratic, independent and neutral Syria shall not exist. What is left of the world to support the Syrian people? No one, these governments control money, weapons, media and even temples and religions.

The Russian-Chinese camp, along with the Iranian government, provided unlimited support to the Syrian regime financially, militarily and in terms of media coverage and still insists on a ridiculous argument “the collapse of the state is dangerous”! as if 150,000 martyrs, 6 million refugees, and the biggest infrastructure damage since WW II,  do not qualify as a destruction of any state in the world. The second excuse is that in case the Syrian regime collapses; Syria will fall in the hands of the Western-Arabian Gulf camp! Assuming that, who gives you the right to decide on behalf of the Syrian people which camp or alliance to deal with? This camp has provided all kinds of military, financial and media support to a dictatorial and terrorist regime in Syria.

The Syrian regime used its destructive arsenal of weapons inside the country. It killed, displaced, arrested and destroyed without any hesitation, as it symbolized the entire country in the person of the president, and the state in a group of officials, influential military officers and capitalists. The Syrian regime is not a president, a group of military officers or ministers. Rather, it is an overlapped authoritarian financial institution built throughout 40 years of totalitarian ruling. Right from day one of the Syrian revolution, the regime labeled the uprising as a sectarian and violent world war in Syria despite the fact that people were still demonstrating with roses and repeating slogans of peace and national unity. The regime used its media machines, rumors, fabricated incidences and videos to gradually shift the popular revolution into sectarianism and militarization. The regime adopted the following principle: “kill and arrest 1000 innocent people to capture one activist”. The number of casualties among common people is the last concern of any ruler worldwide including you ladies and gentlemen as rulers of your countries.

At the same time, after the West-Turkey-Arabian Gulf camp [WTAG] verified that the Syrian regime is incapable of burying the popular revolution, it raised false media slogans on supporting the rights of the Syrian people in democracy and stability. But in reality, this camp began working hard to control the outcome of the Syrian revolution and followed three key principles:

1)    WTAG began working on dividing and fragmenting opposition leaders they chose and imposed on the Syrian people using their funds and media.

2)    Wage a vicious media war under the cover of bright humanitarian and religious slogans. Media machines of the indicated camp are highly professional and experienced and can easily turn the devil into an angel. The media campaign first depended on lies followed by exaggerations. It aimed to establish the image of an Islamic movement rather than a popular revolution, a movement of a sectarian rather than a democratic basis. At the same time, It sold illusions to the Syrian people who hoped for financial, media and even military support. The WTAG camp encouraged militarization because weapons and funds are the best gateway to control the movement of the Syrian revolution.

3)     The WTAG camp decided to impose “Wahabi Islamization” on the revolution on the media, military and financial level. Islamic movements stockpiled money while terrorist Islam-pretentious formations like the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant and Jabhat al-Nusra received huge quantities of weapons. Members of the Free Syrian Army were left with two choices: starve to death or join these formations (the third option was to be killed by the Syrian regime)

Dear American and Western citizen,

Truly, your governments, which created the illusion of Islamic movements, are supporting and financing al-Qaeda in Syria to fight against the Syrian regime supported by Russia and Iran. The evidence is a simple question: Where do such groups get money and weapons from? It comes from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait via Turkey and you know these governments are obedient followers of the Western camp.

I am not here to make compliments or speak about the sovereignty of states and governments. There are no independent governments in the world, even Western governments which are the strongest on the international level; they demonstrated lack of independence when they sold the interests of their own people to financial institutions during the recent financial crisis in 2009. Further, these groups receive funding from the governments of Russia, Iran and the Syrian regime.

This is not a fabrication; Iraq had the same tragedy where enemies fought by using the same militia. These militias represent the Trojan horse and whoever controls it wins. Now, Syria reached a terrible humanitarian catastrophe between the Syrian regime forces and its “shabiha” who have reaped the lives of 100,000 Syrians on one side, and a terrorist fundamentalist militia serving the agendas of its financers and bearing “Islam” as a false slogan.

People of the world, there is no sectarian war in Syria or primitive tribes with a killing affection. The media in the Levant and the west, whether in Arabic, English, Russian, Persian or Turkish is simply misleading. It is the same media which ignores 300 million peaceful good Americans and concentrates on a few thousands of street thugs and racists, the same media which ignores 130 million honest and generous Russians and concentrates on a few thousands of criminal mafias, the same media which ignores 80 million Iranians full of life and love and concentrates on a few thousand fanatics ruling the country, the same media which ignores 300 million Arabs and 1,5 billion Muslims and concentrates on a few tens of thousands of al-Qaeda. Media tells you about those, but, it doesn’t tell you who finances, covers and uses them! This is the media game in Syria these days with conscious contribution and decisive decision by all governments worldwide.

Historically, Syria has about 50 religious sects and approximately 10 ethnicities not because Syria is a rich country and a destination for immigrants like Europe or the United Sates or because it is big like India or China. Syria is relatively a poor and very small country. It is, however, a paradise of co-existence among people in unique unmatched way worldwide. Dear friends, my small town near Damascus is inhibited by approximately 70,000 people, less than 15% of them are Syrian Christians but the town hosts five different churches! I doubt there is a similar example in Europe or the United States. When Europe, Russia, America and Japan were fighting WWII killing 60 million people in the process under ethnic and racist slogans and burning 6 million Jews for religious reasons, Fares al-Khouri; Syria’s Christian PM was addressing people from the Grand Omayyad Mosque in Damascus. A few years later, Syria’s president was of a Turkmen origin. Further, when Hafez al-Assad himself assumed power in 1970, people did not oppose him because he was an alawite; they rather supported him hoping he would help the poor before disappointing them a few years later.

Ladies and gentlemen, representatives of your government not people, I ask you in the name of man not to issue a boring and repeated political statement then leave the media to praise one party or blame the other.

The attendants here have the capacity to immediately stop the fighting in Syria if you except that Syria will not be a follower to the government of Iran and Russia or Saudi Arabia and the United States. As practical measures, I first demand the following:

1)    Apologize to the Syrian people for the tragedies you have caused, all of you the rulers of the tow camps. And to commit your governments to pay for what their guns and media destroyed in Syria.

2)    Every Syrian refugee to receive a small house, full health care and a proper education.

3)    Left out the signs at your embassies saying “No Syrians or dogs allowed inside”.

4)     Stop your media outlets distorting the Syrian tragedy and prosecute every media institution that have contributed in spreading sectarian instigation  starting with the Syrian regime media all the way to al-Jazeera, al-Arabiya, Saudi Islamic channels, al-Manar and Iranian channels.

5)    Oblige the Syrian regime, through Russia and Iran, to implement a ceasefire and immediately release detainees. At the same time, oblige all Islam-pretentious commanders of armed brigades and non-Syrian fighters to leave Syria via Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. You are capable of that.

6)    Under United Nations supervision, deploy 20,000 military and civilian disengagement forces.

7)    Initiate a political solution through elections accompanied by pledges of non- interference by different countries subject to international legal accountability.

8)    United Nations experts shall supervise the aforementioned steps while your companies shall not be allowed to monopolize more than 30% of the reconstruction process in Syria. Further, protecting Syria from the transactions of the International Monetary Fund you use to destroy developing countries.

Media figures present here today, if you do not realize the difference between man and machine, human society and markets, morals and dollars; stop writing about Syria because your crime against this country is no less than that of politicians.

Our friends human worldwide, we the Syrians admit that it is our responsibility to save our country, but when we the 23 millions are in the middle of this wild World War between the strongest empires, we know that 50% of the responsibility is on those governments, so what we ask is not so much, we ask to be humans.

I conclude my speech by a call from Syrians to every man on earth, do not lie to yourself and say this is a far country I do not care about; Syria is the last castle before the whole world collapses in the international stock market which will not save the happiness and security of any soul on earth. The conflict of capitals between the East and the West is leading humanity to destruction. Everything a Syrian want from you is to address your government saying “no, Syria is not a stock market; it is the cradle of civilization”.
