BBC fakes news with 2 faces

 

On 18^th of March 2014 BBC published a report referred to UN official report in its both channels English and Arabic about mass executions in Syria. The UN report “Oral Update of the independent international commission of inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic” talks about the mass execution made by ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant).

The BBC English titled the report with: “Syria conflict: UN reports mass executions by ISIS”. That looks ok comparing to the UN report.

But the BBC Arabic titled the report with “UN reports: mass executions by the Syrian opposition” (in Arabic الأمم المتحدة: المعارضة السورية نفذت عمليات إعدام جماعي) click here. The difference is huge between accusing all the Syrian opposition in these horrible murders and between being honest and say that it is ISIS and the Syrian regime. 

On 20^th of March 2014, Orient.net published an article condemning the faked report by BBC (click here). After few days BBC Arabic modified the title to be “Investigators: mass executions by ISIS and the Syrian government used weapons to kill civilians” in Arabic (محققون: “داعش” نفذت اعدامات جماعية والحكومة السورية استخدمت أسلحة لقتل المدنيين )(click here), one can see now that BBC Arabic tried to be balanced and honest after Omar Alkhatib (editor in Oreint.net) had found out the beguiling.

By using the cashed stored data in Google, we could go back to what was published on BBC Arabic on the 18^th (click here). I f you don’t know Arabic, please use the Google translator or any one you have to just translate the title of the original report on this link and you get the idea. 

The question is why does this public property owned by British people fakes the news even in between two languages? We may understand if it was private channel running for profit without any moral values, but when it is owned by the British people what BBC has been doing doesn’t express the British people values.
