Islam Between the Sacred and the Human 

This series of articles accompanies a video series that examines Islamic history from a critical, analytical perspective—neither glorifying nor hostile. The aim is not to debate faith or religious values, but rather to interpret historical events as human occurrences within a specific social and political context, using established methods in the study of state formation.

The series is based on a simple methodological premise: the historical Islamic experience was one of establishing a society, authority, and system of governance within the specific conditions of its time and place, and, like other experiences, was subject to the balance of power, alliances, economic factors, and the struggle for legitimacy.
